Finally went to the Yayoi Kusama show at Gagosian today before I skipped town. GO.
Yes, I know, I took a picture in there, but I had to. It was wonderful. Go, take someone who has no idea what it is, surprise them. Don’t let them look inside before you walk in. Seriously. Best part is when the guy opens the door to the Magic Box when you’re done and goes, “You cool?” There’s really only one answer.
(Related, because it’s how I found out about the show. And also, I love Jerry Saltz, and I can’t stand art writing, typically.)
