Gawker Weekend Roundup
Another weekend, another shitshow. I’m the Friday Night Lights of Weekend Gawker: loved by a select few, disregarded as a show about football by others, and always on the verge of cancellation.
Anyway. We brought Altarcations back, and it was one of, it not: the best thing that went up all weekend, in my opinion. Someone you may or may not know may or may not have helped.
Other contenders for that title were Maura’s summer jam roundup (note the Passion Pit, a last-minute, much-lauded addition to the list), and T.A.N.’s controversy-happy Sasha Grey interview, which has one of the best comment threads I’ve ever seen.
What did I write about? Suicide. Flip flips. Lying Times writers. Giuliani. Google Street View cars. The usual.
And this fameball thing nobody should give a shit about. Honestly, I’d write my own evisceration and award right now, but I’m fucking exahusted and going back to sleep, if you’ll excuse me.
