John’s an ace, it ought to make the entire pitching rotation better.
True story: John Koblin’s an incredible young media reporter in New York City, and whether or not you care about media or reporting, he’s a young guy on the rise with talent most people doing what I do are crazy envious of, with good reason. It’ll be exciting to watch him and Kaplan make magic at WWD.
As for (THE) Peter Kaplan, I’ve emailed with him before, but this is the first time I actually spoke with him on the phone. The first time I called today:
Hey, this, this thing, I got another call on the line, can you hold? [“Sure!”] Hang on. Actually, I don’t even know how to work this thing, this, the button. Call me back in five minutes.
Pretty sure I was talking to @Wise_Kaplan before the real one could get to it.
