Foster wrote an enjoyably rant-y polemic against tipping for GourmetLive:
Tipping in its current form is an assault on fairness for employers and employees as well as consumers’ rights. It reinforces an economically and socially dangerous status quo, while buttressing a functional aristocracy.
If I’m lucky, “enjoyably rant-y” will make my obituary one day. But seriously, motherfuck a tipping (but also, people who don’t tip well under the current system).
