J.C. Brooks and The Uptown Sound - I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (Wilco cover)

Shit, I think it might become a weekend of cover songs. I’ve already heard this one before, and it’s taken me a while to look more than once towards J.C. and the Uptown Sound for one reason: they’re the band behind the “Baltimore (is The New Brooklyn)” song (and awesome video) that came out a while back, not because it wasn’t good - it is - but because I resent the sentiment, and if writing for the internet has taught me anything, it’s that things that make people mad are often things that people are projecting their own questions and insecurities on. “What if Baltimore is the New Brooklyn? What does that mean for us? And why am I not cool enough to be in this band?…Fuck these guys. *Closes window*” Etc.
But I don’t think you can really deny how great of a cover this is - it’s an appropriate Wilco tribute, too - and how much talent these guys have. More, please.
